Social networks are transforming the way we live, think and interact with others.
They are spurring in each and every aspect of life, most of them are based on the idea of gathering people with the same interests in one place and offering them every possible way to interact together.
In addition to that, each specializes in a function, i have found social networks for bookmarks management, socializing, photo sharing, authors and blogs. sharing music and sharing video. The list can go on forever without a stop, i have even found social networks that offer you the ability to create your own social network and invite others to join it.
One common feature in almost all of them is basically allowing us to sharing everything digital we can put our hands on.
But i just found this new site (at least new to me), www.socialpicks.com, it is a social network dedicated to stock market portfolio managers, stock marketers , investors in US stocks and just about anyone interested in the US stock market.

Social Picks is a website that offers its members (free membership of course, you just have to sign up) to share their stock picks with other users on the network. Once you create an account, you are asked to to choose your Bulls and Bears, in other words, which stocks do you think will rise and which will fall. after submitting your picks, you are now an Analyst (a starter in the stock market world) and able to view other users’ portfolios. Start following your picks and be compared to others.

Stock Picks offer a Scoreboard that tracks each user’s portfolio, and each user is ranked according to his portfolio percentage return. The higher the rank , the better portfolio manager you are, and the more followers you will get. Followers are other users who agree with your stock picking (i.e. investing) views in the market, or may just interested in your picks and thus choose to follow your portfolio.

Nice post. If you are generally interested in that matter, then you might find a visit to plentyofbulls.com wortwhile as well. They provide social portfolio management for the collaborative investor, where the emphasis is on collaboration.
That site is currently in alpha stage but there are quite some enhancements under way.
